Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya got married to Carnatic vocalist Sivasri Skandaprasad in a traditional ceremony in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru:In a customary ceremony in Bengaluru, Carnatic singer Sivasri Skandaprasad and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya were married. Social media posts featured pictures of political figures, such as Union Minister V Somanna, BJP leaders Annamalai, Pratap Simha, Amit Malaviya, and BY Vijayendra.
Mr. Surya was dressed in white and gold, while Ms. Skandaprasad was wearing a yellow Kanchipuram silk saree and gold jewelry. The BJP MP is wearing an off-white dress in another series of pictures, while the bride is wearing a red-maroon saree.
Ms. Skandaprasad, a Bharatanatyam dancer, decided to pursue a career in the arts despite having a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from Sastra University. According to reports, she graduated from the University of Madras with a degree in Bharatanatyam. She has more than two lakh YouTube subscribers and more than 1.13 lakh Instagram followers. Her songs from Mani Ratnam’s “Ponniyin Selvan” film franchise have made her well-known.
Ms. Skandaprasad was also commended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi prior to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya in January of last year.
